龍DE船人 Dragonboat Evolution is a video production initiative aimed at raising awareness of the Dragon Boat Festival among Singapore's youth. Our focus is on the cultural aspect of dragon boating, highlighting its significance as a traditional sport. This project has been made possible with the generous support of the National Youth Council, who provided a $3,000 grant, as well as contributions from Nutrition Depot Singapore and Ooh! Media. Thanks to Ooh! Media, our videos are now showcased on large screens at various shopping centers across Singapore, including Orchard Central, Chinatown Point, JCube, Junction 8, and more!

We also had the opportunity to interview Joseph Zhang, the Advisor of the Chinese Taipei Team (Mr. CaNoe), who is a key member of the Asian Dragon Boat Federation Executive Committee, as well as the Deputy Secretary-General of both the Chinese Taipei Canoe Association and the Chinese Taipei Dragon Boat Association. Following the interviews and filming sessions, we compiled our findings into an iBook, showcasing the insights we gathered.

Our focus has been on sharing our documentaries across various social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube (@dragonboatevolution). Through these platforms, we’ve successfully built a local and international audience, reaching viewers from countries such as the United States, Canada, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and more. As of October 10, 2019, we have over 500 followers on Instagram, 374 followers, and 330 likes on our Facebook page.

As the project manager, my role has been to ensure everything runs smoothly and that the team stays on track. My responsibilities also include sourcing project partners, managing collaborations, securing funding, and taking on multiple roles such as Director, Editor, Cameraman, Content Creator, and Graphic Designer.
